Mission Statement

Promoting equitable access to educational programs relating to firearms safety as well as providing recreational shooting sports facilities for the community.

Clear Creek Gun Club Ethos

Clear Creek Gun Club is committed to providing free range access to youth athletics groups for both educational and training purposes. Along with our emphasis on safety and marksmanship, we are dedicated to promoting sustainable/environmentally friendly hunting practices and educating new hunters of all ages about how to safely utilize firearms in the sport of hunting.

We have a 100 Yard & 200 Yard rifle range, with a gallery of steel targets of varying sizes. As well as well as an elaborate sporting clays course that is sure to entertain and challenge shooters of all skill levels.

Sporting clays is one of the fastest growing shooting sports in the country. Sporting Clays is the closest thing to simulating field shooting of all the shotgun sports. Rather than having clay birds thrown from standardized distances and angles in sports such as trap or skeet; sporting clays courses are designed to simulate the hunting of ducks, doves, pheasants, and other bird species. This means no two sporting clays courses are alike, with terrain and background having a huge impact on how targets are presented.

The sport has athletics opportunities ranging from: youth sports, High School teams, Collegiate programs with scholarships, and even Professional/Olympic levels of competition. As with any sport or skill in life, practice builds proficiency. Education is the first step, but theoretical knowledge alone will not yield an accurate shot. The essential part that is missing is practice.

This involves applying what you have learned, and taking the time necessary to improve your skills. Shooting sports represent one of the few ways people can practice gun safety in a practical, hands-on fashion, allowing them to Safely hone their skills while enjoying the competition and camaraderie instilled by traditional athletics.
